Totalmente fuori dal coro la collezione Métiers d’Art
Parigi-Edinburgo della maison Chanel.
La sfilata è stata
allestita ad Edinburgo tra le rovine del
Linlithgow Palace, luogo di nascita di Mary Stuarda, Regina di
Scozia alla quale Karl
Lagerfeld si è ispirato per questa collezione che infatti ricorda molto
gli abiti della seconda metà del 1500 trovando maniche a prociutto,
abiti senza scollature e lunghi. Anche l’uomo ricorda un cavaliere di
quell’epoca.
La collezione rievoca la tradizione scozzese che,
nella visione di Lagerfeld, inspira lo sportswear moderno presentando un
mix di cappotti a
pieghe in stile kilt dalla vita scivolata, abiti in stile
rinascimentale, pantaloni da cavallerizza, gonne pantalone e maglioni.
Tra i materiali utilizzati abbiamo un abbondante presenza di tartan e
rivisitazioni del kilt proponendolo in chiffon e pizzo.
Il risultato, come sempre, fantastico.
Totally different the Métiers d’Art Paris-Edinburgh collection by Chanel. The
show was staged in Edinburgh in the ruins of Linlithgow Palace,
birthplace of Mary Stuart, Queen of Scots to which Karl Lagerfeld took
inspiration for this collection, which in fact is very reminiscent of
the dresses of the second half of 1500 finding sleeves prociutto, clothes without necklines and long. Even the man looks like a knight of the time.The
collection evokes the Scottish tradition, in the sight of Lagerfeld,
inspired sportswear presenting a modern mix of style coats pleated kilt
from the waist slip, dress in Renaissance style, riding pants, skirts,
pants and sweaters. Among the materials used have an abundance of tartan and kilts proposing new interpretations of chiffon and lace.
The result, as always, fantastic.
